Job Description:
Sales Manager
Location: West



Responsibilities:
Mandarin & English speaker to set up the Group growth strategy and develop its sales in all ways: product range, brand, market segments and applications. Based in Singapore.


Reporting line:
Reports to the VP Sales Asia Pacific, Africa, Middle-East
Manages 1 Area Sales Manager

Mission:
Set up growth strategy on his territory, to develop the Group sales in all ways: product range, brand, market segments and applications
Strengthen the market coverage through extensive and adapted dealers network

Area comprises of:
Far East: Japan, Korea, Taiwan
South East Asia: Philippines, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Myanmar, Malaysia, Brunei


Main activities:

Definition of the strategic lines & budget :
Lead and coordinate strategic planning and long term business vision
Set up the guidelines of a comprehensive market penetration strategy (products, geography, business fields, …)
Prepare a yearly budget for his territory, and commit for the respect of the approved budget

Dealer Management:
Define the business growth model on his territory: type of network, profile of dealers, …
Set up a pool of potential partners (dealers) and select them when necessary
Manage the dealers in all aspects: target setting, support with pro-active actions, ...
Motivate them to focus on the Company business
Participate to joined customer visits to achieve optimal results
Constantly keep an eye on new business opportunities
Organise and support the marketing actions of the dealer in publicity, demonstrations, and exhibitions

Product support:
Support dealer sales team with answers on product inquiries
Guide dealer sales team with product / application related solutions

Training:
Ensure that the level of product knowledge of the sales team is adequate and updated
Organise and conduct training sessions for the sales team

Market intelligence:
Keep constantly an eye on competition moves
Provide market intelligence on the competition and the market to the hierarchy

HR:
Manage one sales person. Guide and motivate him/her with optimizing his/her performance

Reporting & forecasts:
Provide regular reports on the activity to the VP Sales Asia, Pacific, Africa, Middle-East (APAM)
Provide ad hoc report to the VP Sales APAM
Provide regular forecasts in quantity and value to the VP Sales APAM


Requirements:
Degree or diploma in Engineering or Business
At least 5 to 8 years in a similar position with favorable track record
Professional knowledge and cultural understanding of the territory
Regional experience in handling distributors
Experience related to Machinery industry preferred
Self-motivated and initiative
Excellent communication skills
Ability to communicate fluently in both English and Chinese
The position is based in Singapore with travels within the zone of responsibility
